Edoardo Pio Tusacciu and his two brothers, Giovanni and Enrico, founded Plastwood in 1999. The magic happened in the village of Calangianus on the Italian island of Sardinia. Having operated the family cork business for 25 years, the brothers transitioned to the toy industry after one of Edoardo’s co-workers introduced him to the design idea of a magnet and a sphere. Edoardo immediately saw the potential of the concept as a new toy. He convinced his brothers to shift their focus to magnetic toy production, and soon introduced the first magnetic toys to an extremely well receiving global marketplace.

This original toy was called Geomag, and it quickly became a household name in Italy. In 2003, the evolution of Geomag was created – Supermag. The new and improved product, based on a modular concept, can be infinitely combined, allowing unlimited ways to build, learn, and be creative.
